Outside worked uv marble by Smitty is a fully worked UV glass marble that brings together bold technique, premium color, and strong visual depth in a compact collectible form. About the size of a pool ball, this piece has a substantial hand feel and a polished presence that immediately stands out. It is made as an all molten aura marble, giving it a rich, flowing internal look that shifts beautifully as the light moves across the surface.
One side features a soft purple-lavender center surrounded by a crisp outside-worked pattern that looks almost floral or gear-like in structure. The white detailing creates strong contrast, while the green and darker accents give the marble a layered, dimensional finish. The result is a clean and highly intentional composition that feels both symmetrical and organic at the same time.
The reverse side reveals even more complexity, with dot stacking, pinwheel work, and raked patterning that pull the eye inward toward a swirling vortex. This side has a more motion-driven look, with the white and green tones twisting together in a hypnotic spiral. It is the kind of marble that keeps revealing new details the longer you look at it, making it equally appealing as a display piece or a collector’s conversation piece.
Smitty used some of the best color makers in the world to build this one-of-a-kind marble, including Lotus White, Royal Jelly Chromium, and Ion, with Galaxy Black from Northstar as the only exception. That mix of premium glass colors helps create the striking UV-reactive effect and the beautiful color transitions seen throughout the piece. Between the outside-worked design, the vibrant UV qualities, and the expertly executed pinwheel and rake work, Outside worked uv marble is a standout example of functional glass artistry in marble form.
