Not at all. When crafted well, pendants can display deep color, clarity, internal detail, and visual depth on a tiny scale. A well made pendant can be as impressive up close as a larger piece is from afar.

They can be if cheaply made, but quality pieces use reinforced connections and thick glass in key stress areas. As long as you don’t drop or strike them, they can survive normal wear.

Use a mild soak (isopropyl + salt or a glass cleaner), soft brushes or cloths, and rinse carefully. Avoid rough scrubbing around detail work or color layers so you preserve the finish.

Look for integrated color (not painted), smooth internal transitions, reinforced bails, well annealed glass, and visual depth when held up to light.
