Who are you?
I’m Alexander Uritsky, the artist and founder behind Enjoy & Prosper® — a luxury glass artist specializing in hand-carved borosilicate work. My craft is rooted in precision, discipline, and sculpture, creating functional art pieces designed to outlast trends and become heirlooms. Every piece is carved, shaped, and finished by hand in Pennsylvania, with the intention of delivering unmistakable character, performance, and refinement.
When did you first get started in this industry?
I began glassblowing at 17, in a small shed I built into my first studio. I started with a $100 torch and a vision, teaching myself the craft piece by piece. What began as a humble workspace grew into the foundation of Enjoy & Prosper®, and I’ve been refining my technique and elevating my work ever since.
What New Innovations Have You Been Working On?
Lately I’ve been focused on refining precision-carved functional art — pushing deeper into 360° external carving, multi-layer crushed opal work, and new structural designs that enhance spin, airflow, and durability. I’m also developing a line of ultra-refined tops and accessories built for modern devices, each crafted to feel like a piece of jewelry rather than just glass. My goal is to elevate function into luxury while keeping everything artist-made and intentionally handcrafted.
How Do You See the Future of This Industry Going, and Do You Have Any Advice for Those Trying to Break Into It?
I see the future of this industry moving toward refinement — cleaner designs, higher craftsmanship, and a return to true artistry. As the market matures, collectors are gravitating toward work with identity, intention, and timelessness.
My advice: master your fundamentals and develop your own voice before anything else. Trends will come and go, but skill, discipline, and authenticity never fall out of style. Show up every day, even when it’s hard, and build a body of work that reflects who you are — not who you’re trying to imitate.
Any Fun Facts About Your Work Habits or Creative Process?
I’m a creature of routine — once I’m locked in, I’ll often work for hours without saying a word, completely absorbed in the carving and glassblowing process. I like to treat each piece almost like a meditation: same torch, same tools, same discipline, but a different outcome every time.
A fun fact: I carve everything by eye, not templates. It keeps the work alive and gives each piece its own character.
Right now I’m developing new carved designs and high-precision accessory work focused on clean geometry, multi-layer opal, and heirloom-grade finishes. My goal is to keep pushing functional glass into a more refined, luxury space while staying true to the craft.
