The Sacred Airtrap Flower of Life Pendant by RidgeTopGlass is a stunning example of the artist's highly sought-after Sacred Fume Series, blending sacred geometry with advanced glassworking techniques. Encased within the pendant is a beautifully detailed Flower of Life pattern, one of the most recognized symbols of interconnectedness and creation. The design appears suspended within the glass, creating remarkable depth and visual complexity that draws the eye from every angle.
This piece features both gold and silver fuming, producing an extraordinary spectrum of colors that shift depending on the lighting conditions. In direct sunlight, the pendant radiates warm golds, soft pinks, icy blues, and subtle rainbow hues that seem to move across the surface. The fumed finish creates an almost ethereal glow, making the pendant feel alive as it catches and reflects light throughout the day.
A defining feature of this pendant is the continuous airtrap outline that forms the Flower of Life pattern. The intricate network of trapped air channels creates a floating three-dimensional effect within the glass, adding texture, depth, and brilliance that cannot be fully captured in photographs or video. This highly specialized technique requires exceptional precision and is a hallmark of RidgeTopGlass's Sacred Airtrap collection.
Designed to be wearable from both sides, the pendant offers a beautiful presentation no matter how it hangs. The rounded profile, polished finish, and balanced proportions make it equally suited as a daily wearable piece or as a centerpiece within a high-end glass collection. The warm amber and gold tones around the edges provide a striking contrast to the cooler iridescent colors within the Flower of Life design.
The Sacred Airtrap Flower of Life Pendant is more than wearable art - it is a one-of-a-kind fusion of sacred symbolism, precious metal fuming, and master-level airtrap craftsmanship. As with all pieces in the Sacred Fume Series, its true brilliance must be seen in person, where the interplay of light, color, and depth reveals details that no camera can fully reproduce.

started my journey in glass in 1997, working for Jason Harris at Jerome Baker Designs. Now, in 2026, after nearly 30 years in the industry, I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my life.
After working at Jerome Baker Designs for only six months, I ventured out on my own and started Eugene Rain with my then-wife. At that time, the glass industry was booming, expanding every year, and demand for functional glass was stronger than ever.
In 2003, Eugene Rain hosted a groundbreaking event in Eugene, Oregon. We invited 50 artists from around the country to our shop for seven days of collaboration, education, and creative exchange. During that event, I taught my Stick Stack technique for the first time to a large group of fellow glass artists. The gathering was sponsored by Northstar Glass, Glass Alchemy, and Momka's Glass.
The success of that event helped lead to Northstar featuring pipe makers in its annual calendar for the first time. Fast forward more than two decades, and what was once a small community has grown into one of the fastest-moving art movements in American history, with thousands of pipe makers working worldwide. Today, pipe makers are helping lead the borosilicate glass art movement and teaching at some of the most prestigious flameworking schools around the globe.
After parting ways with my former wife, I founded my current company, RidgeTopGlass, in the historic mining town of Nevada City, California. Surrounded by forests and mountains, I continue to create glass art while enjoying the beauty and inspiration of the landscape I call home.
